These instructions should be everything you need to get going! But if you want or need more help, email [email protected] or DM instagram.com/shipsheet and we will walk you through it step by step!
Taking Orders and Payments Through ShipSheet
- Download the ShipSheet app in the Google workspace.
- Go to sheets.google.com on an iPad or laptop. Make sure you're signed into only one Google account - the app will not work if you are signed into multiple accounts.
- Click on "Extensions" in the menu, scroll down to ShipSheet, and select "Start Here"
- A window will open - click on the “Start Now” button. You will be asked to approve permissions so our app can work its magic. Google prioritizes security and transparency and all your customer and your data is private and secure.
- When a side window appears, click on the green "Payments" tab
- Under “Sheet Payment Links,” click "Open"
- Under “Tab Name,” list your product name or Venmo page—for example "September 26 Instagram Live," "Week of Sept 3rd Drop," “Blue Shoes,” or "Grad Topper Down Payment".
- You have the option of listing a set price for that product, or leaving it blank. If you fill in a price, your customer will be billed that specific amount through the payment link. If you leave it blank, the customer will have the option of filling in the price when they pay (for example, if you’re auctioning off a product or selling a one-off product with an agreed upon price).
- Click "Create Payment Link." You have now created a unique link for that product that can be shared with your community to sell your product. A tab on your ShipSheet has also been created for that specific product so you can track orders for that product.
How to Make Branding Changes for Your Payment Link
- Go back to Extensions in the menu of your Google sheet
- Hover over ShipSheet > Payments > Payment Settings
- Add your business name
- Add a payment form message (this text will appear under your business name on the payment form)
- Add a payment "Thank You" message (this is the thank you message the customer sees after they make the purchase).
